Job summary

AbbVie, a leading biopharmaceutical company, seeks a Lab Manager to lead the Targeted Lipid Nanoparticle (tLNP) CMC lab operations within Biologics CMC Development Sciences. You will partner with scientists, facilities, and EHS to enable program execution and regulatory readiness.

The role focuses on safe, organized lab oversight, equipment lifecycle management, and cross-functional collaboration to support next-generation therapeutics development in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience in lab operations or management.
• Experience with lab equipment, inventory, and workflows.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for the tLNP laboratories ensuring a safe, organized workspace.
• Coordinate with Facilities, EHS, and other support teams to resolve issues.
• Manage purchasing, inventory, and freezer storage to ensure materials availability.
• Oversee equipment installation, qualification, calibration, maintenance, and service contracts.
• Support safety compliance, inspections, and incident follow-up with EHS.
• Maintain lab procedures, records, and metrics for regulatory readiness.
• Drive 5S and visual management to improve lab organization.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments of lab materials.
• Assist onboarding, access control, and site coordination.
• Build partnerships across scientific and operations teams to enable program execution.
