Job summary

JANA MOR seeks a Lab Supervisor to oversee Morristown and Vonore testing laboratories. You will manage engineers and technicians, set priorities, allocate resources, ensure safety and quality, and deliver accurate lab output across two sites.

The role requires leadership, scheduling, and strong technical know-how in automated testing, calibration, and documentation, with travel between locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business Management or related discipline.
• Minimum five (5) years in automotive testing, lab operations, engineering, manufacturing or related technical environment.
• Previous supervisory or people-leadership experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operation, staffing, capacity, safety, quality, delivery and administration of two test labs.
• Review test requests, assign resources, establish priorities, and maintain a single schedule for both labs.
• Ensure safe, compliant sample handling, testing, teardown and disposition.
• Approve and release final lab reports after required reviews and documentation.
• Maintain master schedule, logs, equipment schedules, action plans and weekly updates.
