Job summary

Natera is seeking a Senior Director of Laboratory Operations to oversee all aspects of clinical laboratory and operations, ensuring high-quality service under CAP/CLIA and state regulations. You will lead production, equipment qualification, and staff training, while driving process improvements, launches, and efficient use of resources to meet demand and timelines.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in lab administration, strong leadership, and proficiency with data analysis tools, with California

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in a biological science; MS preferred.
• California licensed CLS or CGMBS preferred.
• 10+ years in laboratory administration or related field.
• 5+ years of management & leadership experience.
• 5+ years of high-complexity-testing, high-volume lab operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop policies, procedures, and performance standards for efficiency and quality.
• Oversee day-to-day production, equipment qualifications, and staff training.
• Lead trouble-shooting teams to address urgent issues and optimize workflows.
• Ensure resources meet demand and projections; manage inventory and infrastructure.
• Operationalize new product launches and ensure timely patient testing turnaround.
• Recruit, retain, train, and develop staff; foster team-oriented culture.
• Collaborate with PHI access to systems while maintaining privacy compliance.
