Job summary

Exelixis Inc. is seeking an Engineer II - Client Technology to support a broad range of technologies and platforms, ensuring reliability and performance of end-user tech. You will leverage approved AI assistants to accelerate diagnosis, document procedures, and train staff, while maintaining human oversight for remediation.

You will transform recurring incidents into runbooks, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive improvements in user experience and security across devices and applications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with 9 years of related experience, or equivalent combinations.
• Experience analyzing and solving complex technical problems on a broad range of technology platforms.
• Experience implementing engineering solutions to client technology issues.
• Familiarity with administrative consoles and elevated system access.
• Experience with Agile environments and ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA, JSM).
• Ability to document solutions and contribute to knowledge bases.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and application issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Ensure user devices are secure, compliant, and performing efficiently, coordinating upgrades and patches.
• Convert recurring incident patterns into runbooks and decision trees with defined resolution steps.
• Classify AI-assisted recommendations by risk and validate before changes.
• Provide product training to internal support staff on relevant technologies.
• Create documentation for technical solutions, deployment procedures, and automation scripts (AI-assisted drafting permitted).
