Job summary

Exelixis in Alameda, CA is seeking a Staff Engineer - Client Technology to own and evolve a critical IT solution. You will drive AI-assisted workflows, ensure reliable performance, and maintain security and audit compliance across endpoints and tools. The role emphasizes stakeholder collaboration and continuous improvement through telemetry.

The position requires strong automation, security, and Agile execution skills, plus experience with cross-functional teams and production-grade scripting.

Qualifications

• Own and administer complex IT products or capabilities.
• Develop secure, production-grade scripts and automations.
• Support IT products in a cross-functional environment.
• Familiarity with IT security frameworks and best practices.
• Experience in Agile environments and using ticketing systems (JIRA, JSM).

Responsibilities

• Own full lifecycle of an IT product or capability, including design, development, deployment, maintenance, backup and support.
• Maintain OKRs and quarterly roadmap progress.
• Backlog for AI-assisted workflows; translate learnings into roadmap.
• Resolve complex technical problems and drive engineering solutions.
• Administer IT systems with high complexity.
• Update endpoints with AI-assisted planning while maintaining security.
• Leverage Agile for planning and delivery.
• Establish and maintain security posture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Incorporate feedback into product roadmap.
