Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Microbiology Laboratory Technician in Madison, WI to gain hands-on microbiology testing experience for dietary supplements and probiotic products. You will perform routine testing, prepare samples and dilutions, and document results in a fast-paced lab.

Bachelor's in Biology/Microbiology or related Life Science, plus lab experience from coursework or internships, is ideal. This is a contract-to-hire role with on-site work and opportunities for growth within the laboratory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related Life Science field.
• Laboratory experience through coursework, research, internships, or academic projects.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine microbiology testing on dietary supplements and probiotic products.
• Prepare samples, media, and dilutions for testing.
• Conduct testing for organisms such as E. coli, Salmonella, and Listeria.
• Perform plating, colony counting, and documentation activities.
• Follow laboratory procedures and quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily testing schedules.
