Job summary

Matrix Sciences International Inc. is seeking a Microbiologist in Green Bay, WI to perform routine and non-routine microbiological testing of food and environmental samples.

You will work with conventional plating, PCR and ELISA, identify microorganisms, and ensure traceability in the LIMS system. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in sciences (preferably microbiology) with about 2 years of lab experience, strong teamwork, and a willingness to adapt in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences, preferably Microbiology plus 2 years in laboratory experience.
• Ability to distinguish colors as required for microbiological testing.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a team.
• Positive outlook with the ability to adapt to a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological analysis of food and environmental samples using conventional plating, PCR and ELISA.
• Identify microorganisms by microscopic examination of physiological and cultural characteristics.
• Perform cultural confirmations for pathogens.
• Ensure accurate traceability and documentation of testing activities in LIMS.
• Review results for accuracy and order, initiating additional testing as needed.
• Assist with method verification and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Follow SOPs, safety procedures and participate in quality system activities.
