Zoetis in Kalamazoo, MI seeks a Lab Metrology Engineer to ensure accuracy and reliability of calibration for laboratory instruments and environmental monitoring systems (EMS/REES). You will calibrate, verify, and document procedures to support cGxP operations and guide vendors and staff on calibration standards.

The role requires a BS in Physics/Metrology/Engineering, strong data analysis, and the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Physics, Metrology, Engineering, or an appropriate technical discipline, or comparable advanced metrology/calibration training and certifications.
• Strong knowledge of measurement principles, statistical analysis, and calibration techniques.
• Knowledge of EMS/REES points and common lab instruments.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with large numerical data sets.
• Ability to travel up to 5% and lift equipment up to 50 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Perform calibration, verification, and validation of laboratory instruments, EMS, and equipment according to established procedures and standards.
• Maintain calibration schedules and records for all laboratory equipment, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Review and approve calibration work of teammates and vendors.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with measurement equipment and coordinate with external vendors for servicing.
• Develop and implement procedures for handling, storage, and usage of measurement standards and reference materials.
• Participate in selection and procurement of new metrology equipment and evaluate technical specs.
• Serve as SME in SAP, including day-to-day use, asset management, work order lifecycle, and troubleshooting.
• Provide managers with visibility into upcoming work, metrics, and workload assessments.
