BayCare Health System, St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL, is seeking a Lab Medical Assistant IV for part-time shifts (7:00am-3:30pm and 1:30pm-9:00pm).

The role supports technical staff, handles pretesting procedures, and emphasizes teamwork and customer service in a fast-paced clinical setting. Applicants should have 1 year of related field experience and a high school diploma; ASCP/SCYM or AMT/ASPT certifications are preferred where applicable.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical science preferred.
• Preferred associate's degree.
• 1 year of related field experience required; 2 years preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist technical staff within the department and perform pretesting procedures.
• Complete waived testing as required.
• Demonstrate strong organizational, time management and communication skills.
• Work in a team environment with a focus on customer service.
• Adhere to regulatory standards relevant to the position.
• Identify problems and suggest solutions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

The Lab Medical Assistant IV is responsible for:

• Assists the technical staff within the technical departments
• Handles any and all manual pretesting procedures including waived testing as required
• Works in a team environment
• Demonstrate organizational, time management, analytical, delegation, written, and verbal skills
• Use computer skills appropriate to position
• Must have customer service and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of regulatory standards appropriate to position
• Identifies problems and implements and/or recommends solutions
• Performs other duties as assigned

Certification & Licensure:

• Required – Driver's License (if applicable)
• Required – ASCP / SCYM (if applicable)
• Required – AMT Medical Technologists (if applicable)
• Required – ASPT Phlebotomy Technicians (if applicable)

Education:

• Required – High School or Equivalent
• Preferred – Technical Science
• Preferred – Associate's

Experience:

• Required – 1 year in related field
• Preferred – 2 years in related field
