Job summary

BayCare Health System in Clearwater, FL is seeking a part-time phlebotomist at Outreach Lab Sunset. You will collect, receive and process specimens for testing, and collaborate with nursing and physicians to ensure accurate referrals.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, at least 6 months of phlebotomy experience, and a valid Driver’s License. Bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for experience. Competitive rewards offered by BayCare.

Responsibilities

• Collect, receive and process inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing.

• Refer specimens to outside laboratories.
• Interact with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
• Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens
• Referring specimens to outside laboratories
• Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests
• Performance of phlebotomy procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Experience

• Required
• 6 months Phlebotomy, Laboratory related; or related field
