Job summary

BayCare Health System is hiring a Home Draw Phlebotomist to perform in-home blood draws for patients in Largo, FL. The role requires strong phlebotomy skills, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record.

Work hours are 7:00am-3:30pm, with occasional weekend work and no on-call duties. The position is full-time in a Homecare facility, with benefits including medical/dental/vision and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• 6 months phlebotomy or laboratory-related experience.
• Ability to obtain Level 2 background screening.

Responsibilities

• Collect in-home specimens and process samples for testing.
• Coordinate with nursing staff regarding patient specimens.
• Refer specimens to outside laboratories as needed.
• Interact with physicians, clients, and staff regarding referrals and tests.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Home Draw Phlebotomist: Perform in-home blood draws for patients using your personal vehicle. Requires strong phlebotomy skills, a clean driving record, and successful completion of a Level 2 background screening.

• Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
• Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens
• Referring specimens to outside laboratories
• Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests
• Performance of phlebotomy procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Experience

• Required
• 6 months Phlebotomy, Laboratory related; or related field

Education

• Required High School or equivalent
• Or Bachelors related field in lieu of experience

Credentials
