Watchmaker Genomics, Inc. in Boulder, CO, is seeking a Lab Manager for R&D/Process Development to lead daily lab operations onsite. The role aligns with Facilities and serves as the primary owner of laboratory activities within R&D spaces.

The candidate will manage equipment, inventory, safety, and budgeting, coordinate maintenance, and support supplier activities. A Bachelor's degree plus 5 years in biotech/start-up environments is preferred; compensation includes bonus and equity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in biotech or start-up environments.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day R&D and PD laboratory operations.
• Coordinate laboratory organization and workspace management.
• Support ad hoc laboratory and equipment needs for R&D and PD teams.
• Approve standard level purchase orders within ER P system.
• Manage equipment inventory in CMMS and coordinate maintenance.
• Schedule external service providers and perform select in-house maintenance.
• Oversee laboratory consumables, Kanban, and inventory levels.
• Act as requisitioner and first-tier approver for R&D/PD groups.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and proper documentation.
• Support budgeting and capital planning for laboratory operations.
