Job summary

ARSIEM Corporation in Arlington, VA is seeking a Lab Manager to support a government client. You will apply advanced analytical skills to implement infrastructure solutions, support new technologies in the lab, and advise on SOPs and security best practices.

Responsibilities include VPN/VDI support, macOS/iOS assistance, user issue triage, credential management, and storage/network problem resolution across LAN/WAN with an emphasis on security and performance.

Qualifications

• BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, or related degree; or HS Diploma and 7+ years of lab management or systems administration experience.
• 5+ years of directly relevant experience in system administration.
• Experience with multiple operating systems, including Linux/Unix & MacOS.
• Experience and knowledge of networking and network administration.
• Experience with VPNs.
• Experience with virtual desktops (Citrix, VMware).
• Must be able to work collaboratively across physical locations.
• Experience working with SIEMs including ELK and Splunk (preferred).
• Virtualization, automation, and optimization experience (preferred).
• Experience with Jamf Pro, DEP, and Enterprise Connect implementation (preferred).
• Experience with writing technical procedures and SOPs (preferred).
• Certifications: CEH, Sec+, Network+, CCNA (preferred).

• Support the implementation of new technologies and equipment in the lab environment.
• Assesses network topology and device configurations, identifying critical security concerns and providing security best practice recommendations
• Advises and provides insight on the development of lab standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies
• Provide support for Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) or Virtual Desktop Infrastructures (e.g., Citrix) to users.
• Provide support for macOS and iOS to users.
• Provide troubleshooting and triaging assistance for basic to intermediate technical challenges and user issues.
• Monitor and respond to users on IT helpdesk channels and phone lines
• Assist in the management of user accounts and resetting credentials
• Performing implementation of granular access control, and monitor systems for acceptable performance and user accessibility, establish back-ups, and monitor systems security
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage problems across the enterprise related to storage and replication strategies across local and wide area networks. Monitor channels for storage-related network and system issues and remediate them as they occur.

Lab Manager

This position will support one of our Government clients in Arlington, VA.

Minimum Qualifications

Clearance Requirement

Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.
