Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Lab Manager to lead the Memphis laboratory operations, ensuring quality control and effective supervision of junior staff. The role emphasizes compliance with ASTM standards, data interpretation, and timely report preparation while maintaining equipment calibration and safety practices.

As part of the team, you will coordinate with project managers, assist with business development activities, and contribute to staff development and staffing efforts.

Qualifications

• Four years of related experience.
• Certifications per ECS Technician Certification Policy; advanced certifications for soils/concrete labs.
• Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily laboratory operations, personnel, and workload distribution.
• Oversees laboratory testing, data interpretation, and report preparation.
• Ensures testing meets ASTM and QA/QC standards.
• Maintains and calibrates laboratory equipment and calibration records.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment and lab organization.
• Oversees compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and accreditation requirements.
• Leads recruiting and staffing in coordination with leadership.
• Supports project managers and administrative functions as needed.
