Job summary

Itafos Conda, LLC is seeking a Laboratory Lead in Soda Springs, Idaho. This hands-on leadership role combines supervisory duties (about 20%) with extensive analytical work (about 80%), overseeing a team of six technicians and daily QC operations.

Responsibilities include ensuring QA/QC compliance, managing budget and inventory, and developing new analytical methods while maintaining dataPARC and lab instrumentation.

Qualifications

• BS degree in chemistry or related field with 2+ years of lab experience
• Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years of directly related lab experience
• Experience with ICP and ICP-MS is preferred

Responsibilities

• Champion safety improvement, environmental stewardship, and analytical excellence in the laboratory
• Supervise the laboratory and six technicians, including performance reviews and coverage planning
• Ensure QA/QC standards are met and safe work practices followed
• Manage laboratory operation to the budget
• Manage inventory and procurement of lab supplies/equipment
• Maintain the Laboratory information Management System (dataPARC)
• Monitor ion-exchange resins and reverse osmosis water treatment system
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instrumentation
• Prepare reagents and standards for main and field laboratories
• Develop new analytical methods and procedures
