Job summary

Genentech in California seeks a Senior Principal Scientist, Lab Head to lead a research group within Synthetic Immunity focused on immune engager and CAR-T programs. The role shapes discovery and translational efforts across cross-functional teams in a highly collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Ph.D. required in Immunology, Cell Biology or related field.
Minimum 5 years of industry experience with a track record of high-impact publications and project transitions.
Strong expertise in T cell immunology, cellular immunology and/or cancer immunology.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a high-performing team in discovery and advancement of Synthetic Immunity programs.
Generate high-quality, original research advancing understanding of T cell biology and tumor immunology for next-gen Synthetic Immunity approaches.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Research, Drug Development, Translational Medicine and Early Clinical Development.
