Job summary

Genentech, a member of the Roche group, is seeking a Principal Scientist, Lab Head, to lead a research group focused on designing next-generation cell therapies for autoimmune diseases. You will guide a productive team and drive translational efforts from preclinical studies into early clinical development.

The candidate will apply deep cellular immunology expertise to identify targets, collaborate across departments, mentor scientists, and contribute to external business development

Qualifications

• PhD and postdoctoral training in Immunology, Cell Biology or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years post-PhD experience with high-impact publications, patents, and/or a proven track record advancing therapeutic candidates.
• Expertise in cellular immunology and understanding of pathways and immune cell types that contribute to autoimmune disease.
• Outstanding leadership and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional critical thinking and data-driven decision making.
