Job summary

Actalent is seeking a detail-oriented Lab Associate for our San Diego, CA site. The role focuses on pickup, processing, and delivery of laboratory glassware in a centralized service team, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the lab environment.

Responsibilities include autoclaving, cleaning, and safe transport of glassware, with strict adherence to GDP and safety procedures. The position is onsite, with a schedule of 8 a.m.–5 p.m. and potential for overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Demonstrated appropriate use of relevant equipment after training.
• Reliability and attention to detail in inspecting glassware for cleanliness and structural defects.

Responsibilities

• Pickup and deliver glassware, including contaminated items.
• Follow procedures for handling and transporting glassware.
• Perform cleaning tasks such as autoclaving, ultrasonic cleaning, and pipette processing.
• Operate autoclaves, washers, dry heat sterilizers, ultrasonic baths, and incubators.
• Maintain temperature recorders and paperwork.
• Inspect glassware for cleanliness and defects.
• Monitor glassware inventory and report deficiencies.
• Maintain housekeeping in processing areas.
• Perform monthly de-scale and biological indicator checks.
• Use Good Documentation Practices for paperwork.
• Observe safety procedures and raise safety concerns.
• Complete required training on time.
• Collaborate with other teams and cross-train as needed.
