Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Laboratory Equipment Support Group (LESG) Technician to maintain and troubleshoot analytical instruments at the Lilly Medicines Foundry in Lebanon, IN, with initial location in Carmel, IN. You will perform PMs, support IQ/OQ/PQ, and ensure audit-ready records while coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent, GMP/GxP knowledge, and the ability to document work in CMMS; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a scientific/engineering field or equivalent hands-on instrumentation experience.
• Knowledge of GMP/GxP, GLP, quality, documentation, and safety in regulated laboratories.
• Ability to document maintenance and service activities in a compliant manner.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Lilly does not provide visa sponsorship for this role.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on analytical instruments (Waters UPLC/ACQUITY, HPLC/UHPLC, LC/MS, GC/MS).
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on ESG-supported laboratory equipment.
• Troubleshoot E2 and E3 category equipment and provide hands-on support during investigations.
• Support IQ/OQ/PQ qualification protocols and pre-qualification readiness.
• Create audit-ready service reports and equipment documentation for each work order.
• Document maintenance and lifecycle activities in CMMS and coordinate with vendors.
• Escort vendors and coordinate with LESG Leads, Specialists, and system owners.
• Mentor junior engineers/technicians in instrument operation and maintenance.
