Job summary

Avantor is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Associate at our Lexington, MA site. You will report to the Site Manager and support Advanced Laboratory Services with mission-based lab work and customer-focused logistics.

Expect daily dock operations, carrier coordination, and accurate receiving of materials. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in shipping/receiving, familiarity with SAP/Oracle, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in shipping and receiving, loading dock operations, logistics, inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain support.
• Experience coordinating deliveries and working with transportation carriers.
• Experience in a laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotech, manufacturing, or regulated environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily loading dock operations and shipment schedules.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound and outbound deliveries.
• Receive, inspect, and process shipments from multiple carriers and vendors.
• Verify shipment contents against purchase orders, packing slips, and receiving documentation.
• Coordinate dock appointments and manage carrier arrivals and departures.
• Prioritize deliveries based on business needs and operational requirements.
• Track incoming and outgoing shipments and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate shipment status and delivery updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Escalate delivery issues, delays, and transportation concerns as needed.
