Job summary

Flowers Hospital is seeking a Director of Laboratory to lead the clinical laboratory’s administrative, fiscal, and technical activities to ensure top-quality patient care. The role oversees quality control, quality assurance, and point-of-care testing programs across the laboratory and coordinates with hospital departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology or Physical Science (needs to meet requirements for High Complexity under CLIA) required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in closely related field with Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5 years of previous leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees administrative, fiscal, and technical activities to ensure efficient operation of the clinical laboratory.
• Responsible for the quality control program, quality assurance, and point of care testing programs within the clinical laboratory.
• Plans, organizes, directs, controls, and evaluates the work of the clinical laboratory and coordinates with other hospital areas, including payroll and staffing.
