Job summary

MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital is seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) for the Lab who will handle daily administrative tasks, provide telephone-based support, and ensure patient and department confidentiality. The role supports specimen transport, accessioning, and order placement in a fast-paced lab environment.

The position is per diem with a flexible schedule, requiring at least one year in a lab setting or customer service.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• MA-P license may be required depending on assigned area.
• Minimum one year in a laboratory setting or providing customer service support.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone-based customer service and document communications with clients.
• Perform accessioning of specimens into the data management system and place lab orders.
• Assist with pricing, correct billing errors, and dispatch couriers as needed.
• Maintain courier vehicles and support specimen transportation.
