Job summary

MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Lab Customer Service Representative (CSR) to support daily administrative functions, provide telephone-based service, and ensure patient confidentiality. You’ll handle specimen transport, accessioning, pricing, lab orders and billing corrections, while keeping courier operations running smoothly.

The role requires a high school diploma (MA-P may be required in some areas) and at least one year of lab or customer service experience;

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Depending on assigned area, MA-P license may be required.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a laboratory setting or providing customer service support.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone-based customer service to clients.
• Document communications with clients.
• Handle specimen transportation.
• Perform accessioning of specimens into the data management system.
• Provide prices, places lab orders, corrects various report and billing errors; maintains courier vehicles and dispatches couriers to clients.
