Job summary

MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital is seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) – Lab to support daily administrative functions in Laboratories Northwest, ensuring high-quality customer service and confidentiality. Responsibilities include telephone-based service, documenting communications, handling specimen transport, and lab order processing.

The role includes evening shifts and rotating weekends, with 4 ten-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Depending on assigned area, MA-P license may be required.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a laboratory setting or providing customer service support.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone-based customer service and document communications with clients.
• Handle specimen transportation and accessioning into the data management system.
• Provide prices, place lab orders, correct billing/report errors.
• Maintain courier vehicles and dispatch couriers to clients.
