Zusammenfassung

nVent is seeking motivated undergraduates for a 6-month Lab Internship in Anoka, MN. You will support R&D lab technicians and test engineers, assisting with performance, agency, and development tests, while gaining hands-on experience in prototype assembly and testing in a global manufacturing setting.

The role focuses on mechanical or electrical engineering tracks, offering exposure to UL/CSA/NEMA/IEC testing, data acquisition, and report writing.

Qualifikationen

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or electrical engineering preferred.
• Current Junior, graduating with an undergraduate degree between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Ability to complete a 6 month full-time internship from Jan - June 2027 in Anoka, MN.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
• Willingness to learn and to work collaboratively with all levels within the organization.
• Energy to listen, desire to learn and ability to be resilient and adaptable through change.
• Strong work ethic and personal responsibility to see things through to completion.

Aufgaben

• Develop technical knowledge of nVent product construction and assembly.
• Perform product performance testing.
• Update standard work documentation as needed.
• Develop an understanding of agency performance testing such as UL, CSA, NEMA and IEC.
• Work with internal partners to modify and expand test plans and procedures.
• Generate written reports of test results in a concise manner.
• Set up and operate lab equipment.
• Design and build equipment and fixtures to conduct testing.
• Support and participate in Lean activities and testing projects.
• Assist with lab improvement projects and test management systems.
