Job summary

Join Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus as a Shared Laboratory Resource Assistant I - Cage Wash. You will support laboratory operations by cleaning and processing animal cages and assisting the Biological Resource Unit.

The position features daytime hours 7:30am-4:00pm and requires a High School Diploma or GED with three months of on-the-job training to learn procedures and policies. Candidates comfortable around research animals are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Three months on-the-job training to learn department laboratory procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

• Support cleaning and processing of animal cages within the Biological Resource Unit.
• Perform quality assurance on assigned activities per procedures/SOPs.
• Notify supervisor of equipment malfunctions or issues needing attention.
• Assist with collecting, receiving, processing, transporting, or storing supplies from various labs.
• Handle departmental communications via iLab, email, phone, or voicemail.
• Maintain stock of supplies and perform appropriate cleaning procedures.
• Complete three months of on-the-job training to learn procedures and policies.
