Job summary

Neko Health seeks a hands-on Laboratory leader to build and run an on-site clinical lab in Washington, DC. You will set up the lab, validate Abbott Alinity systems, and establish robust SOPs, ensuring ongoing compliance and high-quality testing.

You will coach the Laboratory Technologist team, monitor performance, and serve as the primary on-site escalation point for laboratory operations and quality issues. Regulatory readiness is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in supervisor/lead technologist role in a high-complexity clinical lab.
• ASCP MLS generalist certification plus a board-certified specialty (SC/ASCP/SH/SI) in chemistry, hematology, or immunology.
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with automated chemistry and immunoassay platforms.
• Experience with CLIA requirements and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead lab setup and go-live readiness under CLIA and CMS regulations.
• Validate instruments and assays on Abbott Alinity platforms with full documentation.
• Establish SOPs and workflows for long-term, repeatable operations.
• Maintain inspection-ready documentation and corrective-action records.
• Develop and mentor Laboratory Technologist team and provide coaching.
• Serve as on-site escalation point for technical, operational, or quality issues.
• Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
