Job summary

Itron in Liberty Lake runs a dedicated device lab to validate DEM software against smart devices and DERs. You will set up thermostats, DERs, and lab networks, test software connectivity, and coordinate across IT, security, and engineering teams.

The role combines hands-on hardware setup with software testing in a fast-paced, collaborative lab environment. Travel is minor; on-site presence is required several days weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 0-2 years in software quality assurance, testing, engineering or related field.
• Experience performing software testing, including test case creation and defect reporting.
• Familiarity with Linux and Git.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and maintain laboratory devices and DERs for DEM software testing.
• Install and maintain network infrastructure and cellular connectivity for devices.
• Collaborate with IT, networking, security and engineering teams to ensure lab readiness.
• Develop and execute manual test plans and procedures to validate product functionality.
• Identify, document, and track defects; support root cause analysis with engineering.
• Report test results and quality risks to stakeholders; support continuous improvements.
• Participate in feature reviews, sprints, and quality planning.
