Job summary

Itron is seeking an Associate R&D Technician to support the Distributed Intelligence Laboratory (DI-Lab). You will bridge electrician, electronics technician, and lab test engineering roles, handling wiring, instrumentation, and data acquisition in energized environments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in a related technical field.
• 2+ years in electrical/electronics/industrial maintenance or lab technician roles.
• Experience with AC mains power systems and electrical equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and manuals.
• Proficiency with common lab instrumentation and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support operation, maintenance, and expansion of the DI-Lab.
• Assemble, install, troubleshoot, and maintain lab infrastructure and electrical panels.
• Perform wiring, routing, termination, and panel construction per codes and standards.
• Assist with lab expansions, upgrades, and facility improvements.
• Conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, and safety checks.
