Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Lab Associate II for Wood Dale, IL, with a Tue–Sat 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM schedule and a 10% weekend shift differential. The role supports routine lab workflows, data entry, and sample handling in a non-licensed capacity.

The position emphasizes adherence to policies, safety, and quality procedures while assisting licensed personnel as needed. Strong attention to detail is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of histopathology, cytology, or other laboratory experience.
• 1 year handling PHI and LIS experience.
• 2–3 years of laboratory experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science or Chemistry preferred; HS diploma with lab experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and organizes samples for testing, e.g., racking, aliquoting, and tube prep.
• Labels, handles, stores and transports specimens as required.
• Identifies sample problems and helps resolve issues.
• Prepares testing equipment and assists with maintenance.
• Performs data entry and supports quality control procedures.
• Trains other Lab Associates and supports training programs.
• Maintains neat, clean and compliant laboratory areas.
