Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Anderson, IN is seeking a Lab Assistant II for a Monday–Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM schedule with rotational weekends. You will perform various routine laboratory functions to assist staff and help production in a precise, accurate manner. Minimum one year full-time lab experience required.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. The role requires attention to detail, ability to work independently and familiarity with MS Office and LIS.

Qualifications

• One year full-time experience in a technical or clinical laboratory department.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Florida Only)
• Ability to follow steps precisely and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen receiving, labeling, handling and preparation.
• Assist with pre-analytical preparation of specimens and load automated instruments.
• Record digital temperature and notify personnel if out of range.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance on some equipment.
• Enter data in laboratory information systems (LIS).
