Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Anderson, IN is seeking a Lab Assistant II to join our team Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with rotational weekends. This role performs routine laboratory functions to support staff and ensure efficient production.

The position offers a pay range of $17.20+ per hour and eligibility for annual performance bonus; benefits include medical, dental, and vision for full-time employees, plus a 401(k) with company match and other wellness programs.

Qualifications

• One (1) year full-time experience in a technical or clinical laboratory department.
• Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and LIS.
• Willingness to follow procedures and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen receiving, labeling, handling and preparation.
• Assist with pre-analytical preparation of specimens (labels, tubes, racks, worklists, enter/scan specimens).
• Record digital temperature and notify personnel if out of range.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance on some equipment.
• Prepare chemicals, reagents and solutions.
• Keep work area clean and organized; manage glassware and equipment.
