Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Lab Associate I for Schaumburg, IL, Tue–Sat, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM. The role supports laboratory operations with sample preparation, labeling, processing, and data entry.

Eligible candidates will perform pre-analytic and post-analytic tasks, maintain reagents, and ensure accurate records. Shift differentials may apply, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of operating non-complex equipment.
• Two to three years of college coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize samples for testing and labeling.
• Handle, process, label, and transport specimens.
• Identify sample problems and assist in resolution.
• Prepare testing equipment and assist with maintenance.
• Support licensed personnel in pre-analytic and post-analytic activities.
• Prepare reagents and maintain records of reagents.
• Maintain inventory of consumables and restock items.
• Sort and accession specimens into LIS and deliver for testing.
• Enter data and prepare reports for review.
• Assist in quality control procedures.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Some College Courses Two to three years preferred
