Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical technology or other life/physical sciences from an accredited college or university.
• Current State Clinical Laboratory Scientist license if necessary (California) (Required).
• Zero to three years direct experience in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs moderate to highly complex clinical tests following required procedures and policies.
• Prepares and oversees reagents, media, and controls; evaluates new reagents or controls.
• Determines acceptability of specimens and calculates results with manual or computerized procedures.
• Enters results accurately and monitors reporting; maintains turnaround times.
• Performs quality controls and calibrations; participates in proficiency testing and QA.
• Ensures safe, neat work area and proper labeling of reagents and supplies.
