Job summary

Quest Diagnostics seeks a Lab Associate II in Lenexa, KS, Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–4:00 PM with rotational Saturdays. Pay range starts at $18.73 per hour. The role provides benefits starting Day 1 for FT employees working 30+ hours, and offers opportunities for performance bonuses.

The position supports testing workflows, handles samples, maintains records, and assists licensed personnel in pre- and post-analytic steps. It emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science or Chemistry; preferred life science coursework.
• 1 year of histopathology, cytology or other laboratory experience.
• 1 year of experience handling PHI and using a LIS.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize samples for testing (racking, aliquoting, tube prep).
• Label, handle, process, transport, and store specimens.
• Identify sample problems and assist in resolution.
• Prepare testing equipment and assist with maintenance and notify staff of issues.
• Assist licensed personnel in pre- and post-analytic testing activities.
• Prepare reagents and controls.
• Maintain records of reagents and media.
• Manage inventory and restock laboratory supplies.
