Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Lab Associate I in Pittsburgh, PA, for the Molecular department. This non-licensed position runs Monday to Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. You will assist with general lab support and follow all policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
• Some College courses two to three years preferred.
• 1–2 years of laboratory experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of operating non-complex equipment.
• Good documentation and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and organizes samples for testing, e.g., rackin g, aliquoting and tube preparation.
• Labels, handles, processes or prepares and stores specimens.
• Identifies sample problems and assists in resolving them.
• Prepares testing equipment and maintains records and logs.
• Performs data entry and compiles workload reports.
• Maintains inventory and ensures lab areas are neat and safe.
