Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA is hiring a Phlebotomist to join our night shift team (10p–6:30a, Sunday–Thursday) with a sign-on bonus. You will perform specimen collection, blood draws, and assist in the clinical lab following CMS CLIA '88 and Piedmont policies.

Education required is a GED or high school diploma; no experience is required, though 1 year phlebotomy and EKG experience are preferred. CPT phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• No experience required
• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist preferred
• Experience in performing EKGs preferred
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting preferred
• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory standards.
• Performs venipunctures and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
