Job summary

Clinical Laboratories of Hawaii, LLP in Kamuela, HI is seeking a full-time phlebotomy/ lab support professional to ensure specimens are collected, processed, and stored correctly to support patient care in a clinical laboratory setting.

You will work with PPE, follow safety and privacy standards for PHI, and perform related duties with attention to quality control, accuracy, and timely specimen handling. Hours are 40 per week with benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Training or experience in specimen collection or processing.
• Strong reading, writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a vital part of the patient care process by making sure laboratory specimens are appropriately collected (including phlebotomy), processed, prepared, routed, and stored.
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions.
• Work in a laboratory environment with biological hazards and PPE requirements.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
