Job summary

Clinical Laboratories of Hawaii in Aiea Heights, Honolulu, HI is seeking a Laboratory Assistant (Full-Time) to support specimen collection, processing, and storage, including phlebotomy. You will join a team focused on safety, quality, and patient care in a busy lab environment.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and strong reading, writing, and analytical skills. Experience with basic lab equipment is a plus, with bonus points for prior clinical lab work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, computers, telephones, and audible alarms.

Responsibilities

• Perform a vital part of the patient care process by ensuring laboratory specimens are appropriately collected (including phlebotomy), processed, prepared, routed, and stored.
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions.
• Work in a laboratory environment with biological hazards and PPE requirements.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
