Job summary

Qualifications

• High school or GED equivalent.
• Successful completion of OSF Phlebotomy class within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs specimen collection.
• Responsible for proper storage of specimens; prepares specimens for transport.
• Performs all point of care testing and quality testing to meet CAP/Joint Commission and CLIA standards.
• Reviews provider orders and maintains up-to-date knowledge of new laboratory standards.
• Keeps accurate records, such as quality control and temperature monitoring.
• Committed to patient identification and excellence in customer service.
