Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Westminster-based Laboratory Assistant role supports specimen processing and intake, ensuring accurate handling to back patient care. You will perform specimen processing and, when required, blood collection for diverse patient populations in a fast-paced lab.

You will follow established procedures, assist with CLIA-waived or moderately complex testing under supervision, and help maintain inventory, equipment and workflow to uphold high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS-CPR certification within 90 days of hire preferred or required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Specimen management and processing for internal testing and distribution.
• Phlebotomy and blood collection across age groups as needed.
• Perform CLIA-waived or moderately complex testing under supervision.
• Support departmental workflow and collaboration to ensure efficient operations.
• Maintain equipment and inventory with accurate documentation.
