Job summary

Mercy Health, St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, seeks a Phlebotomist to join the Lab team, drawing blood and preparing specimens for testing while performing clerical duties.

Responsibilities include order entry, result look-up, report generation, and answering internal/external calls in a friendly, helpful manner. A High School Diploma or GED is required; phlebotomy certification preferred but not required. This is a Union Per Diem - PRN position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred but not required.
• One year phlebotomy or customer service experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide excellent customer service.
• Draw blood samples following proper procedures.
• Label, centrifuge, and process specimens as ordered.
• Perform data entry and basic clerical tasks.
• Assist with inventory and phone coverage as needed.
