Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform sample collection, processing, and exempt screening and monitoring tests in compliance with CMS/CLIA '88, OSHA, and Piedmont policies. Venipuncture and specimen prep are routine duties.

You'll support technical staff with non-clinical tasks and interact with patients in a fast-paced healthcare setting. No experience required; 1 year as phlebotomist and EKG experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma or GED Required.
• Work Experience: No experience required; 1 year phlebotomist preferred; EKG experience preferred; Healthcare or clinical laboratory setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests per CMS/CLIA '88, OSHA and Piedmont policies.
• Performs venipunctures and prepares blood specimens according to Piedmont procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
