Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a phlebotomist for full time or part time roles across all shifts. The role involves sample processing, exempt screening and monitoring tests, venipuncture, and blood-specimen preparation in line with CMS/CLIA and Piedmont policies.

Education: a high school diploma or GED is required; No experience required, with preferred 1 year phlebotomy and EKG experience. Certifications (CPT) preferred; healthcare setting experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• EKG experience preferred; healthcare or clinical lab experience preferred.
• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and Piedmont policies.
• Performs venipunctures and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Work Experience

• Experience in performing EKGs Preferred
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency Preferred
