Job Details

LabCorp is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team at Dublin, OH. This role involves working in a high-volume, production-based environment performing vital components of clinical lab science.

Work Schedule

Tuesday - Saturday, 1am - 09:30am, with rotating Sundays, holidays, and overtime as needed to meet department goals.

Job Responsibilities

1. Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
2. Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
3. Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
4. Ensure all lab equipment is functioning properly and perform minor maintenance.
5. Troubleshoot specimen-related issues.
6. Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
7. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
8. Complete record logs and perform administrative duties as required.
9. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.

Job Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous medical/lab or production experience preferred.
3. Comfortability with biological specimens.
4. Ability to accurately identify specimens.
5. Basic computer and data entry skills.
6. High attention to detail, ability to prioritize and multitask.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet turnaround times.
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
10. Must pass a color blindness test.
11. Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
