Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health is seeking a Laboratory Assistant II in Naperville, IL, to perform waived and moderate complexity procedures under supervision in a fast-paced clinical lab. The role is 1.0 FTE with hours 8am–4:30pm, Monday through Friday, including every other weekend and holiday rotations.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree (biological or chemistry preferred) and at least one year of clinical lab experience, plus strong attention to detail for accurate specimen labeling

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferably in biological or chemistry science.
• Minimum one year of previous clinical lab experience.
• Ability to understand instructions and make judgments.
• Strong orientation to detail to ensure proper labeling of patient specimens and accurate data input.

Responsibilities

• Perform Waived and moderate complexity procedures under supervision of the supervisor or Medical Lab Scientist.
• Follow established departmental procedures and professional standards.
• Ensure proper labeling of patient specimens and verification of patient information.
• Input data accurately and maintain quality control as required.
