Job summary

Endeavor Health is hiring a Lab Assistant II for a full-time role at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. The position runs 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with rotation weekends and holidays.

The candidate will perform waived and moderate complexity procedures under supervision, with emphasis on accuracy and adherence to procedures. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in biological or chemistry sciences and at least one year of clinical lab experience.

• Bachelor's degree in biological or chemistry science.
• Minimum one year of clinical lab experience.
• Ability to understand instructions and make judgments.
• Strong orientation to detail to ensure proper labeling of patient specimens, verification of patient information and correct input of data and the ability to perceive similarities and differences in color.

Hourly Pay Range:

$19.31 - $28.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Lab Assistant II
• Location: Edward Hospital 800 S. Washington St. Naperville, IL.
• FTE: 1.0 FTE (40 hrs./week)
• HOURS: 8am-4:30pm; Monday through Friday; Includes every other weekend and holiday rotations

What you will do:

Under close supervision of the supervisor or Medical Lab Scientist, and according to detailed instructions, performs Waived and moderate complexity procedures in accordance with established departmental procedures and professional standards.

What you will need:

• Bachelor's degree preferably in biological or chemistry science
• Minimum one year of previous clinical lab experience
• Ability to understand instructions and make judgments
• A strong orientation to detail to ensure proper labeling of patient specimens, verification of patient information and correct input of data and the ability to perceive similarities and differences in color
