The role requires phlebotomy skills, strong communication, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, including nights and weekends. Training and safety compliance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy training program preferred.
• Requires ability to learn and use electronic systems.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle infectious specimens and hazardous materials.
• Flexibility to work nights/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and blood collection for patients of all ages.
• Process and transport specimens to the testing department.
• Assist with point-of-care testing and QA activities.
• Maintain safety and infection control practices.
• Support lab staff and act as a preceptor when needed.
• Document results and manage specimen labeling and submission.
