Endeavor Health’s Evanston Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Assistant II to support a busy clinical lab. You will handle specimen receipt, processing, and documentation within LIS/HIS systems, ensuring accurate tracking from intake to testing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience in lab settings and data entry is beneficial.
• Competency in handling specimens and basic lab workflows.

Responsibilities

• Order tests into LIS/HIS and document lab receipt of specimens.
• Process various laboratory specimens.
• Receive and scan patient samples into the Laboratory Information System.
• Centrifuge, aliquot, prepare and deliver specimens for testing.
• Perform specimen tracking, packaging and order/result entry.
