Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital is seeking a laboratory support professional to perform registration, screening, and order entry for specimens and to generate reports from the LIS. The role includes handling lab front office calls and ensuring timely receipt and delivery of specimens within the laboratory.

Responsibilities also include preparing specimens for analysis, loading automated instruments, and faxing HIPAA-compliant reports.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate, or equivalent required.
• Ability to work as a team player with excellent customer services skills.
• Previous lab experience preferred.

Summary:

Handles phone calls received in the laboratory front office. Receives and delivers specimens to laboratory departments in a timely manner. Prepares specimens for analysis, loads automated instruments. Faxes reports as required in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements:

High School Graduate, or equivalent required. Ability to work as a team player with excellent customer services skills. Previous lab experience preferred.

Work Shift Details:

Nights, Work hours 5pm to 1:30 am, with alternating weekend hours of 12:45 pm to 9:15 pm

The expected pay for this position is listed below:

$16.97 - $20.79 The final pay rate offered may be more than the posted range based on several factors including but not limited to: licensure, certifications, work experience, education, knowledge, demonstrated abilities, internal equity, market data, and more.
